Do Something Now is the Church in the Center’s missions initiative. One of our strongest core values is servanthood. We don’t believe in just “going to church”, we believe in “being the church”. Therefore, we regularly seek to create opportunities to Do Something Now. We engage in missions on both the local and global level. Each month, there are numerous local service projects, and each year, Church in the Center members travel to the nations on mission trips to share Jesus’ love in practical ways.
Here’s some of the types of things we’ve done and will be doing more of:
· Meeting humanitarian needs and sharing the Gospel in the third world on mission trips.
· Engaging in church planting activities in other field of North America.
· Doing evangelistic events around the medical center area.
· Family events in community.
· Feeding the homeless.
· Visiting refugees.
· Volunteering at organizations such as: Texas Children’s Hospital, Medical Bridges, Star of Hope, Houston Food Bank, Nursing homes, etc…
· Apartment ministry.
· Community clean up.
· Operation Christmas Child.
· Operation Back Pack.
· Collection projects for missionaries.
· Medical missions.
· Homes for Haiti.
